I’m sure if there is a research on recession and growth of Farmville there would be a good correlation. When such pleasures of growth, progress, attainment and sharing just evoporated in the midst of frozen economy, Farmville provided an alternative bliss where there was direct correlation between effort and result, with no externalities.
Read the full story »There are several theories that say that the deal is fair on eBay and it got its money back with an enterprise valuation of 2.5 Bn USD. Some say, the deal is 14x its projected revenue of 200 Mn in 2010 and some say, after the write off and after taking off profits from 2007, eBay has taken back its investments while most other web 2.0 acquisitions like MySpace are losing value by the minute.
According to Crunchbase, LinkedIn now has 45 million users representing 150 industries. That’s definitely critical mass and LinkedIn has a sturdy hiring solution, an upgrade feature for users (not sure about the uptake figures yet) and is already experimenting with advertisements. I am sure there is more to come towards ringing the cash register.
